The Donor

Ever since purchasing my Tiburon the lack of airbags and a mangled dash has been clawing away at me. Last week I did managed to find a Donor, a Canadian twin to my 03 base with what used to be a luscious black paint. Not too bad after 3 years of looking.

One light restored.

Rocking the 1 steel. Might catch on?

Looks almost half decent.

Fun Run

Well updates have really been lacking recently to say the least, but got a giga-post for you guys this month. To start off, the Fun run had a great turn out. Over 200 cars made it out for a beautiful day in Shediac, made for a great day to test out the new camera!

Atlantic Nats and Timing.

After months of waiting its finally the Atlantic Nationals in New-Brunswick. For those of you not familiar this is one of the biggest car shows of the East coast, pulling in people from all over North America. Being a three day event I usually made my way on Saturday but after checking the forecast I decided to play it safe and make it up on Friday for the street show that was open to the general public. This was a bit of a blunder on my part since it was packed! This combined with a finicky camera didn't give me many photo opportunities. Here are some of the "cream" of the crop fixed to the best of my ability.

First thing that grabbed my eye as we made our way to main street.

No modifications, but first Chev Luv I see in the Maritime.

Have to love a clean S10 bagged.

 

 

This wasn't even in the show but another truck you don't see too often around these parts.

Being one of my favorite muscle cars, had to get a shot of this Bel air.

I saved the best for last. Seeing this in person made my day!

On the other flip side I did manage to fixed the timing issue on my Tiburon. After a quick spin around the block she ran just like new. Now its a waiting game with Arc in order to get my front drop and finalize my suspension tuning. I'm just wishing I can get them in time for the Shediac Fun Run.

Stuck between a pulley and a hard place.

Well finally started work on the car! Since replacing my head gasket last year I noticed a real lack of power in the low rpm range so after some research it pointed me to the timing. Unfortunately I rushed to get the head back on and more then likely got it off  by a few degrees. Having most of the job done I got to the PITA part... Taking off the water pump pulley. Having about a inch and a half of room to take off 4 10mm doesn't give you many options. Managing to lose my only stubby wrench that fit this cramped space, I called it a night. Search continues in the AM
